ONCE UPON A TIME...
the latter half of the story..
As she turned the corner of the road, she felt she was being stalked. A cold shiver ran down her spine. Even while trying to dismiss her fears and scolding herself for becoming a paranoid of late, she could not help quickening her pace. Only after reaching the gate of her apartments, could she relax a little.
12:30 P.M: Shefali sat snug in her rocking arm chair with a copy of ‘And then they were none’. The reviews of the book were impressive and promised ultimate thrill.
“Justice War grave rides in the first class section of a train headed for Devon. He thinks about his destination, the mysterious house on Indian Island. It was built years earlier by a rich American, and then abandoned after the death of his wife in a boating accident. Gossip and rumors now surround the place, and the newspapers alternately suggest that the Island has been purchased by a movie star, the military, Royalty, or even an equally mysterious Mr. Owen.”
Even as she tried concentrating, her eyes kept looking out of the window. There was some strange sense of insecurity. As if she was being watched. An inexplicable fear.
“But why would anybody harm me? I guess I ‘ve been reading lotta thriller stuff and my imagination is playing up”
1:00 P.M: She got up from the chair to hit the pillow. “One last time” thought she as she went to the window. She did not find anything out of place. Assured, she was closing her window and just then somebody flashed light on her.
“This is it. I cannot take this anymore. I better call over Rachel and Simmy”.
Rachel Roy and Simmy Menon were her colleagues at Mudra ad agency. All three of them joined Mudra the same day and gelled instantaneously when they met.The girlie gossips, the hang outs and the movies time would not have been so much fun if not for them.
7:00 A.M: It’s a lovely morning. Clear sky. Breezy. I was out as usual, for a morning walk. As I was walking along, tuned to Elevation - U2, I saw a crowd was gathered at City Heights. Out of curiosity I went over. A police jeep, ambulance and a media van pulled over. As I made my way through the crowd I saw the reporter pointing to a corpse lying on the floor and saying “the police have started the investigation. As of now, there does not seem to be any evidence of the death of Shefali Shah.”
“R.I.P”
As the old saying goes : "nobody ever returns from Mumbai or death…".
Disclaimer: Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is purely coincidental

ONCE UPON A TIME...
3:30 P.M: Oblivious to the sweltering heat, Shefali Shah, the assistant creative director and her colleagues were in a deep discussion, inside the bright, shiny, apple shaped, air conditioned meeting room of the Mudra ad agency. The “great Indian wedding season” was about to commence in a month’s time and their client ‘Vimal’, that has been celebrating the many facets of the beauty of the Indian women, wanted to air new advertisements to lure the modern Indian bride into buying the new collection with unmatched prints. Ideas were bouncing off and plans were chalked out.
8:30 P.M: Shefali Shah was reading an article on “Comparative advertising-the new strategy” sitting in her cubicle. Advertisements had fascinated her since childhood. She was amazed by the creativity that went into their making. Inspite of her friends and family ridiculing at her, she never gave up on her dream of being a part of this fantasy world. And she made it all by herself!! Sipping her green tea, she wondered how it felt like just yesterday that she had been recruited into her dream company .It was going to be a year tomorrow .Time just flew by. Every day was a different day. She loved everything about Mudra. Her office, her team, and oh yeah! her boss- Rohan Khanna.
Rohan, the most eligible bachelor in the city, was the blue eyed boy of their company. He was in his late twenties with the kind of boyish charm that got girls swooning. A workaholic who shared her passion towards work. She was looking forward to going to the Goafest with Rohan.
A door knock woke her up from her reverie and she realized she was lost in her musings for half an hour!! It was pack up for the day, officially. She came out of the office to be welcomed by the light drizzle. This was 'Mumbai' where the unexpected is to be expected. It had been a good day all in all. She walked to her home, mentally recollecting the chores that had to be done. This was the only thing she hated about her life. Every night, after a tiring day she had to go back to the deafening silence she was not accustomed to.

HER-STORY
Breaking news:
The 'gemini gal' has finally been swept by the 'blogomania'.Bless her!!
She is reported to have said that she has taken this wise decision (to blog) for 'a greater cause' (duh!). Apparently her friends coaxed her into write one (rumours are that they were vexed up to find their accounts cluttered with her endless so called 'creative writings'. Poor souls. Thank god! i have not given her my mail id when she asked for it)
When asked why people should read her blog when there are already umpteen number of blogs out there. She replied " For the feel good factor" (I agree. After reading such bheja fry stuff , any body can happily brag that their blogs are far,far better)
G.g has said that her blog will bear a testimonial to unleashed creativity.(LOL . I 'll tell u how to creatively use this blog.If some one has been annoying you a lot lately, you can get back at that person by making them read the posts in this blog.
Well ,before i wind up, let me bring in our ace astrologer to find out his predictions on the success of this blog. "This blog has been started on the auspicious full moon day .This positive force is reinforced by the incredible support of Jupiter (luck) ,Uranus ( surprise ) and Mars (action). So , this blog 'll receive immense popularity". (I second. There will be a spurt of hate communities. wowie! I always wanted to be a part of a hate community. :D)
That's it for today.
